New Place to Blog

I’m trying a new place for my blogs. Its WordPress.com and so far I like it. I’ve been playing around with the CSS and the layout so you’ll probably notice changes but soon I’ll find something I love.

I love the comments way more than this account, its a lot easier for me read my comments!

I’ll be posting another blog soon about all the new things in my life… and whats been keeping me busy! So check it out there!

I know I know

I knew I couldn't do the whole 365 Project. I tried once before but never did it either. Not to make excuses I do have a great excuse! My laptop was stuck by a power surge from lighting hitting near by! I did not have it backed up and paid to have my files retrieved... thankfully they were able to do it! Then it got sent off only to come back not working right... so I need to send it off again. *sigh*

Well I've been busy with my other photography jobs too. I did a wedding last weekend and I also started another product job. AND even donated a portrait session to a fund raiser. Busy busy busy!

I decided I'm going to be doing other SMALLER projects... ones that don't last a year but rather a week or a month. I have some in mind and I'll be starting my first on October 1st. These smaller goals make it much easier to stick with them. Now if only that would work with me and losing weight. lol

#2 He's in Love

My day was so hectic I wasn't able to take a picture with my actual camera, I had to use my camera phone but played around a bit on Photoshop to make it look like a newspaper clipping.

So we got a new dog yesterday from the humane society. Her name is Reba and her parents were pure bred St Bernard and Boxer. (one night stand I assume) :)

She is an absolute sweety and I'm already in love with her too!!

Oh and for the 365 project I will try to post a weeks set in one blog so its not constantly being updated. But you can find my flickr set on this link.

365 project

So I decided to do the whole 365 project. I'm hoping this will give me a chance to be more creative and help me broaden my skills.

We shall see how well I can do this.

I love my baby

My honey is an amazing guy that takes care of me so well.

Today he went to get gas at the gas station and came back with my favorite cold frappuccino. And not only one... but two. He holds me when I'm upset, cries with me when I cry. He goes out of his way to make me smile and laugh. Blows me kisses when he catches my eye.

He is a hopeless romantic like I am, and just as dorky as me. I can be completely myself around him, and he doesn't care... but loves it.

I love taking care of him and he lets me. But he is always there taking care of me. We work together with all of it.

I love him and I want to be with him for the rest of my life.

Another exciting day!

So I am having lunch with my mother and I hear our waitress talk to the patrons next to us and she tells him that she is getting married next month. My ears instantly perk up. I grab a business card and when she comes back to our table, I introduce myself and explain my services.

She told me that she didn't have a photographer yet and had been interviewing them. I explained a little more and we made phone call appointment for Tuesday for us to go over more.

I almost think I found my "niche" and I'm so excited about doing next weeks job. And I sure hope I get this job.

Something in the Air

Maybe its the fact that I had a great meeting with one of my clients today. Maybe its the wedding I'm doing next week. Maybe its the fact that I'm booked up for the next month. Maybe its even the fact that I had to tell a client today that very thing.

Maybe its one of those things or something in the air but I feel so confident and excited about what is coming up. I'm even excited to start proofing, and everyone knows that is the hardest thing to do as a photographer. (ok maybe just for me)

I'm happy again. :) The wounds are healing already and I'm happy. I can't wait to share the latest and greatest!!
